What is a randoseru?

A randoseru is the traditional Japanese elementary school backpack. It has a rigid, box-shaped body, a full-length front flap and padded shoulder straps, and is built to last all six years of primary school. Today many adults also use randoseru as work and travel backpacks.

Who makes the randoseru sold by CraftSupply Kaban?

Our randoseru are handmade in Nagoya, Japan by Murase Kabanko, a randoseru maker founded in 1957. CraftSupply Kaban is a Hong Kong-based online store selling Murase Kabanko randoseru for children and adults.

Do your randoseru come with a warranty?

How much is shipping in Hong Kong?

Standard shipping within Hong Kong is HK$50. Orders of HK$5,000 or more ship free.

Do you ship outside Hong Kong?

Yes. We ship to Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States and Spain. Standard international shipping is HK$350, and orders of HK$5,000 or more ship free.

What is your return policy?

You can request a refund within 7 days of receiving your order. Sale items cannot be returned. Please read our refund policy for full details.

Can adults use a randoseru?

Yes. We offer adult randoseru such as Kabuto, Sofurilla and VIR, designed for work, commuting and travel. Browse our adult randoseru collection.

What is the difference between leather and synthetic randoseru?

Genuine leather models, including Tochigi leather and cowhide, develop a rich patina and feel more substantial. Synthetic leather models such as Clarino are lighter, water-resistant and easy to wipe clean.

Will an A4 folder fit in a children's randoseru?

Our children's randoseru are designed to hold A4 flat files. Each product page lists the inner and outer dimensions so you can check before you buy.

How do I care for my randoseru?

Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth, keep it away from prolonged direct sunlight and heat, and let it dry naturally if it gets wet. Read our randoseru care guide for more tips.
